This Hagama Donabe Rice Cooker is highly heat resistant, durable, and has excellent heat and moisture retention properties. Cooking rice in an earthenware pot releases just the right amount of moisture, and the residual heat cooks the rice to its core, making the rice grains nice and fluffy. It can be used with either an open flame or electric cooktop.

Also, the temperature rises slowly, so the flavor of the rice is enhanced. The bottom of the earthenware pot is slightly rounded to ensure even heat distribution. The heat from the flame spreads over the entire surface of the pot. 

The "Hagama" shape was originally designed to be convenient for cooking rice in a kamado(cooking furnace) in old times. The distinctive design has a nostalgic feel and enhances the atmosphere of Japanese cuisine.

The rice scoop and pot mat are also included with the rice cooker. 

The size is suitable to cook up to 3 rice cooker cups (3 gou*), which is equivalent to 450 g. *A gou is a rice cooker cup, and one Gou is equivalent to 150g.
The amount of water used will be 1.1 to 1.2 times the amount of rice.
